I came across the RiskSmart system via Councils website and the contacted The Planning Place, listed as an accredited consultant. The main advantage of using The Planning Place to lodge a RiskSmart application was that they saved me considerable time and money, adding value to the project. We heard about Brisbane City Council's Risk Smart programming through the team at The Planning Place and saw it as a great way of getting our Development Application for a one into two lot subdivision approved quickly. It only took 5 days for the application to get approved which saved us a lot of time. We were expecting the application to take 4 months. After getting our quick approval we were able to get the property re-valued with an increase of value of over $100,000.00 which means we can re-invest sooner. We also saved an estimated $21,000.00 on holding cost. We are very happy with the exceptional service we received from The Planning Place. When I bought my house DA approval already existed however the plans were not as we required.  I was confused when reading the BCC website as to whether I needed to re-apply to make changes and go through a lengthy and expensive DA exercise.  Ashley Everton recognised my property and reviewed my plans, within 24-48 hours he had given advise to me that the changes I was making would be considered a permissible change and that the costs were 25% less and would only take 20days.  My application was submitted the same day, The Planning Place saved me time, money and now I will be building much sooner than anticipated as I have DA.

I have used The Planning Place a couple of times now and have found them good to work with, in terms of what is needing to be done and communicating the processes, they explain and set everything out well.
