Ian has over twenty-six (26) years experience in Urban & Regional Planning, having worked with both Local Councils and private consultancy firms. Ian was established as an accredited consultant for Brisbane City Council, RiskSMART program for fast-tracked development approvals in 2008. He is also an accredited consultant for Logan City Council for RiskSMART assessment of development applications. In 2015 he was accredited by Brisbane City Council as a SealSMART consultant to fast track compliance assessment and survey plan sealing.
He has extensive experience in the evaluation of development potential and planning scheme requirements, has high level Project Management skills and is able to undertake development feasibilities and due diligence. Ian also has a strong track record in the achievement of approvals for Residential, Industrial, Commercial and mixed use development proposals.
Ian has substantial experience in negotiation to achieve positive outcomes for his clients, as an expert witness in planning and environment court appeals, extensive knowledge with the administration of planning and development related legislations.Competency: Certified Practicing Planner (CPP 4947R)

Graham has over fourteen years experience in town planning gained in both local government and private sector. Graham joined The Planning Place in early 2014 after spending eight years in Moreton Bay Regional Council in the Development Assessment team. With significant experience with Queensland Planning Legislation and working on a range of subdivisions, multiple dwellings, commercial and industrial development projects throughout South East Queensland, Graham can assist with project visioning, development feasibility and the development approval process. Graham is also a RiskSMART Accredited consultant with the Brisbane City Council and can assist you with potentially fast-tracking your next development application.

Rebecca joined the team at The Planning Place in March 2016 and has been working on a range of developments, particularly residential and commercial development applications.
Rebecca has experience in statutory planning including preparing RiskSmart and standard development applications with council's throughout South East Queensland. Rebecca has experience in medium to large lot subdivisions, medium to large apartment developments, aged care facilities, heritage, including industry and farming facilities applications.
Recently, Rebecca has branched out into the environmental planning field and now has experience with preparation of statements of environmental effects and environmental impact assessments.
Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (Honours)
Andrew successfully completed a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning with Honours at the University of Queensland, Andrew commenced his career preparing applications and referrals, providing development and planning advice across a diverse range of development fields, this experience has helped Andrew develop a thorough knowledge of Queensland’s planning processes and policies across its many Council’s.
Andrew joined the team at The Planning Place in February 2017 and has been successfully completing work on a broad range of development applications for our clients, and has a keen interest in developing his knowledge in the areas of plan sealing & project management, with the view to obtaining his SealSMART Accreditation.
Andrew’s experience in the preparation and coordination of development applications has seen him successfully deliver positive outcomes for clients on a range of residential, commercial, industrial, community and subdivision projects of varying scale throughout South East Queensland.
Bridget joined The Planning Place in July, 2015, and has completed her Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning at the University of Queensland.
Bridget works with the Senior Planning Consultants at TPP and has a good understanding of Council's planning controls and urban design principles. She has assisted on a range of Community Projects and in the preparation of urban design projects.
Business & Accounts Manager
Lee joined The Planning Place in August 2004. Lee is our Business and Accounts Manager for the firm looking after all quality assurance and business systems, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, debt collection, and bookkeeping. She also ensures workplace health and safety measures and other business reporting requirements are met by the firm.
Lucky, I can send people who didn’t do proper due diligence to AA Fast DA Approvals to obtain a Material Change of Use approval before a building approval can be issued.
